Please hold the date Sunday 10th of December from 4pm for our end of year Club Christmas drinks. This will be an informal chance to get together and unwind with fellow Club Members before Christmas
Thursday night club night from 6.30pm.
Friday junior club night: Session one: 3.30pm to 4.30pm with weekly coach-led game-play for juniors between 7-9 year of age. Session two: 4.30pm to 6pm: Competitive tennis for those who can rally, serve & score.
All welcome, no charge for members and if your child has a non-member friend who wants to come along and check it out, they're welcome too, but expect to be approached about considering one of our membership options or pay-as-you go $10 fee after you've tried it a couple of times.
Caro Bowl: Thank you to everyone who came along and supported the Herne Bay Men's Caro Bowl team against Karaka on Sunday. Although we lost 5-1, we were entertained by some very highly ranked players in the world. Australian top 20 left-hander Dayne Kelly unleashed some unplayable serves down the T and let loose more than a couple of forehands that you'd usually only see on a very good day at the ASB Classic, so it was a special occassion to host competition of this level at the club. A highlight was the 18–16 super tiebreak win to Brock and Nick, which was a no-holds-barred back-and-forth thriller that had the deck on their feet and making plenty of noise. A Big thank you to the tennis subcommittee for their work leading up to the tennis tie. Next match is Sunday at Royal Oak.
