Geoff Godden, long-standing tennis-playing club member, died on Monday evening, after a short illness. Many of you will have played with Geoff over the years, or socialised with him and his mates in the bar after their twice-weekly doubles sessions. Godden family’s association with the club stretches back to the early nineties.

Geoff's wife Nikki and their family have asked to hold a funeral service for Geoff at the club, this Friday, and the club committee have readily agreed to this request.

Club members are welcome to attend, from 3.30 pm on Friday 17th. The funeral service will be from 4.30 to 5.30, with food and drinks to follow. If you feel so inclined, do bring a plate of food to share. Given Geoff’s lifelong love of travel, dishes with any sort of international flavour or theme would be especially appropriate.

Instead of flowers, Geoff’s family have suggested donations to Mercy Hospice Auckland, and it will be possible to make donations at the club on Friday if you wish.

Please note that all club facilities including gym, sauna, squash and tennis courts will be closed for this special private function from 3pm onwards.
