The HBPRC would like to thank the Lion Foundation of New Zealand who have granted the Club $8,000 over the next 12 months towards the payment of utility bills. We are able to apply to apply for funding from community grants such as the Lion Foundation due to our status as an incorporated society and registered NZ charity that provides tennis and squash facilities to our community and as a provider of junior player development programmes.

TennisAuckland project team to review the interclub rule book:
TennisAuckland have put together a working group to review the current interclub rulebook. First steps include getting some feedback from players. If you have suggestions you can let them know what you think of the current rules and provide any examples. Specifically:
1. What issues crop up with the senior interclub rules?
2. Is there any wording that you find particularly challenging and feel could be improved?
3. Any suggestions for improvements?
please email: Annette@tennisauckland.co.nz
Margaret Schot Memorial scheduled Sunday, 29 October

Women in Squash coaching programme at HBPRC
The Women in Squash coaching programme offered by Squash Auckland and Foundation North kicked off this week at our club introducing eight new ladies to the game of squash. If you are interested in joining the next group, please contact Jacqui in the office on 376 0681 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org to get more info and join up.
The club cafe will be open this Friday night with our chef Peter Chichester preparing delicious meals for children and adults. Please come and join us for dinner after the junior club night and support the club. (Please note the cafe will not be open the week of Hi Rolla Casino Night, Friday week, 27 October).
Pilates mat classes are held on squash court 1 every Monday and Thursday morning at 9.30am and now 1:30pm Wednesdays, with more times and dates to come. Our Pilates instructor, Pia, has been trained through Polestar Pilates NZ and has been practicing for seven years. Pilates is a full-body exercise that will strengthen and balance your body. It is for everyone, including elite athletes, the injured, seniors, pregnant women, and everyone in-between. All will be catered for in the class. Email, text, or call Pia to book your place in the class on email@example.com, 029 6277 437. For full details click here: http://hernebayrackets.co.nz/gym.cfm
We are in need of bar volunteers for our busy junior nights, either 4:30-6pm or 5-9pm one Friday night per month. No experience necessary and training will be provided. This is developing into a lively atmosphere, with families staying on after junior night, so the bar is a good place to get to know some of the new faces turning up.
We are also in need of a volunteer bar staffer to cover a community event in the bar on Saturday, 28 October, 5-10pm.
This is a great way to 'do your part' for the Club. Contact Jacqui in the office on 376 0681 or email firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to know more.
