Lions Live at HBPRC Saturday 1st July

Watch the match at the Club this Saturday night July 1st. Kick off is at 7:30pm. NuNu’s Street Munch will be there serving their famous sliders. Members, their families and guests all welcome. (Not required, but if you are able to indicate if you are coming it helps our catering. Thank you.)

Last chance to register for Wimbledon Whites this Saturday

Hurry and grab the last places in the draw for the annual Wimbledon Whites round robin tournament this Saturday 1pm. Email Jacqui at service@hernebayrackets.co.nz now if you haven't entered yet! This is a free event for members and a great excuse to get kitted out in your best vintage tennis whites (best themed outfit wins a prize).

Change to start of club night tennis board

This Thursday the tennis club night board will start from 7pm; feel free to come along and start hitting from 6.30 as usual.

Interclub results

Two out of three for the senior interclub singles teams last weekend: Men's 1 won 4-2 over Mission Bay, Men's 2 beat Next Gen on game differential (and are currently joint leaders of the comp), while the Women's team lost away to a strong Bucklands Beach team. Organized team training gets underway this week, if you have not yet registered and would like to join in, contact your team captain or Simon at tennisVP@hernebayrackets.co.nz.

Auckland Open 2017 at the Herne Bay Squash Club 28th-30th July

Herne Bay is hosting the Auckland Open this year the weekend of the 28th-30th July. Entries via iSquash. Entry is $40, local players may be required to play Thursday night. Entries close Friday 21st July 5pm.

Junior Squash

The junior squash programs continues at the Club every Friday night 4-6pm. An impressive group of around 16 kids turn up each week from beginner coaching, learning match play, a social round robin tournament combined with lots of fun and games. Coach Mike Weston takes this group helped by our wonderful Club volunteer Kevin Williams. Come and join in the fun, you are welcome to bring friends.

Unpaid Invoices

A number of unpaid invoices for both squash & tennis interclub fees remain outstanding. The fees cover your team entry fees and squash & tennis balls for your respective matches. Last week we sent an individual email with your invoice attached asking for prompt payment. If you have a query please email Jacqui at service@hernebayrackets.co.nz or alternatively please settle your invoice as soon as possible.

Are you Free ONE Night a month?

We are in need of Bar Volunteers to fill our roster. The commitment is one night per month, or pair up with someone and do every second month. No experience is necessary and training is provided. This is a great way to "do your part" for the Club. Contact Jacqui in the office if you would like to know more.
