The weather forecast is promising - Club Night starts with Tennis at 6.30pm. Check in with David who will run a board and get you out on court. Squash follows at 7pm. We have a number of new members who have recently joined our Club. Come on down, introduce yourself, make them feel welcome and organise some matches during the week.
Happy Hour begins at 6.30pm - The Kitchen will not be open this week for burgers 'n' fries, so it might be a BBQ.
Any and All help would be very much appreciated! We aim to start about 9am and get stuck in with some hard elbow grease - the kitchen, carpets, changing rooms, tennis and squash courts and of course the gardens. You will be rewarded for your efforts with a bbq and cold drinks at the conclusion - lets hope for a great turnout. The audio system is back up and running (thank you to BLH Electrical - club sponsor) so we can crank the stereo up just to make it a little easier - or you can whistle while you work.
Due to Squash season coming to a close and Summer coming, from this week onwards there will be no volunteer running the board. Please feel free to come on down from 7pm for a hit and organise games between yourselves.
If there are any members who have any questions or suggestions, would like to get on the grading list or keen to find some players around their level to play please email Emma Winstanley (Squash VP) on firstname.lastname@example.org and we will try to arrange this for you.
We are still looking to fill a couple of nights during the month. The commitment is only one night per month and if you pair up with someone it's only every second month!
This is a great way to 'do your part' for the Club like so many others have before you. If we don't have volunteers the bar is un-manned and this can be a problem when we have visiting teams and events on at the Club, not to mention thirsty members who need a drink!
No experience necessary and all training is provided and a few free drinks while you're there! Contact Jacqui in the office if interested.
