Hi all, just a few messages for today! As you will see below, I won't be around the office much over the next few weeks but all emails will be checked and the newsletters will go out as usual. Watch out for news on some of our regulars competing in Hong Kong this coming week...

Anyway, here's today's news!

1. Junior Boys WIN!

2. Squash Court Bookings

3. School Holiday activities at the Club

4. Tennis Club Day Sunday

5. Office Hours over the next few weeks

Have a great week and stay warm.

Sophie

Club Manager

Win for Herne Bay Boys!

Congratualtions to Junior Squash members James McEwan, Max Stenhouse-Burgess and Maxsyn Molloy-Parker who have taken out the central boys league of the Jets Junior interclub competition. Henderson entered the final round needing a clear 8 point victory over league leaders, Herne Bay, to overtake them. Commendably they scored a 6/4 win to finish second with Howick A beating Howick B to finish 3rd.

Well done boys, look forward to seeing more of these successes as your careers in squash continue.

Squash court bookings

As many of you will know, we have five teams competing in the upcoming Superchamps competition - B, C and D grade men and B and C grade women.

Because they are all such athletes and are keen to represent this Club the best they can, they need a little extra court time over the next few weeks to get in tip top shape.

Please be understanding if some 'unbookable' courts are booked for team training. We are limited training to 1 court in peak times and 2 courts off peak, so you will still have plenty of courts available.

Please refer to the online booking system if you are unsure.

School Holiday courses:

Photography Monday 7th to Wednesday 9th, 1-4pm at the Club, suitable for kids aged 8-12 years. All materials provided. If you would like your children to participate please email Kendal on: kendalmustard@gmail.com for more details.

Also don't forget David Mustard's awesome holiday programme for tennis kids! Running all throughout the holidays from 9am - 12 noon, this will tire the kids out AND get them on their way to being tennis legends. For more details, contact David on david@mustardtennis.co.nz.

Club Day Sunday

Message to all who come down for tennis on Sunday afternoons - please note that there will be a DNA tournament this Sunday so Club Day will finish a little early at 2pm. Since we can't use lights on Sunday evenings we need to make sure the tournament is finished while there is still light. However as there is no Winter Interclub on this weekend, I have moved Club Day forward to 12 noon for those who need a good 3 hours on court. Let's hope for great weather! Thanks for your understanding.

Office Hours

Over the next three weeks I'm without childcare, so won't be in the office as much as usual. I'll be monitoring emails and coming in each day to check on the place and keep the bar stocked, but if you need me please send an email and I'll make a time to meet with you, or resolve your query by email.

Note that I will be out of Auckland and on leave for the week of 14th July. Emails will still be monitored.
