You may have seen the new Commonwealth Games membership offer that Squash NZ are promoting. Well, Herne Bay Rackets are fully behind this and we'd like to let our members know so they can pass it on to friends and family!
The offer is, if you join the Club before July 22nd you’ll have the chance to WIN up to 6 months membership FREE. How does it work? It’s quite simple.
If our best Commonwealth Games Squash medal is a GOLD you’ll get an extra 6 months membership FREE, if our best medal is a SILVER you’ll get an extra 3 months membership FREE and if our best medal is a BRONZE you’ll get 1 month extra membership FREE.
You don't need to be a squashie to take advantage of this, as you know our memberships cover tennis and squash. You just need to join up and start yelling at the TV when our NZ squash heroes are playing.
So, let all your friends and family know and cross your fingers for MEDALS!
It’s almost that time again! After a great day last year we’ll be again running a fun mixed doubles tournament to celebrate the start of Wimbledon at the end of June. It’s time to see who plays well with others and who looks good in white! Free to enter so dust off your wooden racquet and your sweater vest and join us for an afternoon of fun tennis.
When: Sunday 22nd of June, 1pm onwards
Dress: Wimbledon whites!
Who: Members only – all levels and ability welcome!

Prizes for best dressed, winners, worst line calls and maybe a few more!
To make things extra social we’ll be drawing all partners out on the day, so all you need to do is register your entry and turn up on the day to see who your lucky team mate is.
So come down in your whites, have a scone or two – and maybe even a glass of bubbles!

I have 3 spaces available for new bar volunteers! This is a great opportunity for new members to get to know other members and maybe do a bit of networking for your business too! It's fun, it's usally pretty easy and you get 3 free drinks on your night... as well as a $50 discount on your membership fees. It's only one day a month and if you can't do the night you're on then you can swap around with other bar people.
If you're interested, please contact Sophie in the office. It's a great way to do your bit for the Club and really settle in to the best little club in the world.
Due to the Squash tournament being held this week, and the pretty wild weather we're having at the mo, there will be no club night this week. All the Squash courts are in use for the tournament but the Tennis courts will be available for casual play.
