Don’t hang up those tennis rackets just yet – we have something that might just keep you warm during the next few months…..
We are looking for 3-player teams (2 men & 1 lady). Eight teams will play over 7 weeks; 1 men’s doubles and 2 mixed doubles, each match is played first to 9 games.
Starts at 7pm and finishes at 9.30pm. Entry fee is $15.00 each or $45.00 per team per week.
- Monday competition starts May 12th for Men & Women’s Open 2 and above.
- Wednesday competition starts May 14th for Men & Women Open 3 and below.
4 Player teams – can be any combination but remember you might get a handicap? Depending on your level – we might start you on a HANDICAP ie +15 or -15.
Teams to play over 7 weeks. Each player has 3 matches of eight games.
Saturday competition starts May 17th 1pm to 4.30pm. Entry fee is $15.00 per player and includes BBQ.
Each week there will be spot prizes and at the conclusion of the competition prizes for the Winning and Runner Up team.
Numbers are limited – so first in first served, If you are unsure of your grading we can help you out. Email us at mustardtennis@xtra.co.nz. Enter as an individual or as a team and let us know which competition you or your team want to play in – we need your name or team name and players names and a contact mobile number.
Please note that the office will be closed this Wednesday and Thursday (16th & 17th) and will be on reduced hours from Tuesday to Thursday next week (22nd - 24th). It will be closed on the Public Holidays. Email will be monitored so please send any enquiries through that way and I can respond as soon as poss.
The Bar will be closed throughout Easter (Friday to Monday inclusive) however we do not have trading restrictions so Eftpos transactions will be fine. The bar will be open and manned throughout Anzac weekend (Friday to Sunday inclusive) as we have the Herne Bay Open tournament on.

It may be surprising to learn that the world still revolves when I go on holiday, so Club Night will definitely be up and running this week! No excuse to work those little easter eggs off the waistline before the bunny arrives... Tennis from 6:30, squash from 7pm. It's also your last chance to say good bye and bonne chance to the Mustards who swan off to the World Champs the following day.
I won't see you here, but I'll have my spies out, so you better be here just in case :-)
