Don't forget there's a bevvy of stuff on tonight at Club Night...
At 6:30 our Special Gerneral Meeting will run briefly to vote on an amendment to the constitution (for proxy forms or more details contact me by reply)
Afterwards Tennis and Squash nights kick off, as well as the Poker and Black Jack tournaments which will be set up in the lounge (mroe details below). Please do support the guys as they raise funds for their Cousins Shield challenge later this year.
7-8pm is our Happy Hour, and the Easter bunny has been visiting and left presents for you all.
...and don't forget to buy your raffle tickets to support Jacqui and David heading off to the ITF World Champs next week! $5 for one and $10 for 3... great prizes to be won.
A great two weeks of competition for the seniors wrapped up on Sunday with some awesome finals going down. The weather gods put on another cracking day for us, and our champions were crowned after battling it out in the hot sun!
One of the toughest matches of the day was our Mens Singles final, with Reece and Ben taking it to a 3rd set – and that was no easy feat in that heat! The Ladies doubles final was closely contested with Jayne and Marina managing to close it out in the second set tiebreaker. And Pagey kept his winning streak going from the Mixed Doubles into the Mens doubles with Alastair, managing a hard fought win over Allan and Jason.
A huge thank you to everyone who entered and got involved, and those who came down to watch the finals. Next year we hope to get even more entries, for what is a really fun way to wrap up the summer tennis season.

The Cousins Shield boys are fundraising again for their tournament later this year. Come along and support the boys!
No limit Texas Hold'em, $50 entry, 30 player max. To reserve your seat email matt@righthandman.co.nz.
Blackjack tournament, $10 entry, 6 player final, just turn up!
6:30pm start for both, after a brief SGM (see below).
Please note that Squash Court 1 will be out of action until Sunday night (13th April), in order to do a significant repair on the wall. This is unavoidable as we have the Herne Bay Open on from the 25th and Court 1 is the show court that our top players will be on. As you know, Herne Bay is the best club in the world, so we need to make sure it's in tip top shape. Apologies that this will squeeze everyone onto three courts tonight.
The Sauna is out of action while the boys at BLH Electrical await for a new part to arrive. We are aware it's out of action, we do care and we are trying to get this fixed ASAP. At least it's not mid winter, it's like a sauna outside anyway! No, I know it's serious and we aim to have it working just as soon as we can.
Thanks for your patience.
