Club news

Sauna closed

The sauna is currently out of action due to maintenance for possibly up to the next week. An update on when it's back in action will be posted to our Facebook page.

Repairs update

We have had a lot of our lights replaced, including the gym.
In the lounge an infrared system has been installed on the TV making changing the channels easier via a remote and now both TVs work.
Your patience is appreciated while we complete fixing the floor out by the bar entry door; this is a reasonably large job with a larger than expected area needing attention due to a leak.
We have replaced some yucky roofing tiles with new ones
We are adding a ventilation system in the sauna to reduce condensation and mildew in the club.

All Blacks vs South Africa at the HBPRC, this Saturday from 6pm

Where will you be watching the game this Saturday evening?

We're opening the bar at 6pm and will have legendary Toto's pizza by the metre available for $5 a slice,

Get your friends and family together and come along to the club and watch it with us — see you there!

Gym memo

Great news that lots of you are using our fantastic gym, but there are a couple of things we need your cooperation on and consideration of please ...
1. Breakages: We have a broken stretch pole and a broken cable machine, which is one of our main bits of gym kit; please take care of the equipment and be careful also when dropping weights as it can cause damage. If you are unfortunate enough to have a mishap and break something (or if you discover something that's not working as it should), please get in touch with Pia at service@hernebayrackets.co.nz or on 376 0681. We'll endeavour to get these bits and pieces fixed asap.
2. Consideration of users of all strength and ability levels: Please make sure you put away wieghts after use, especially heavier ones on the leg press machine, and remember that there are a range of members using the gym and that we want all to feel welcome and included in that environment, so please be considerate to all members who use the space.
