We've had a smashed lightbulb on court 2 and the fluorescent bulbs are still exposed so please avoid Court 2 for a while until the grates are re-installed. As soon as we can get a scaffold in it'll be back up and running. Updates will be posted to the Facebook page.
As part of the ongoing council work on the drainage issues around the club there will be a drone fly-over to photograph the area on the afternoon of Monday 15 July. Not expected to be disruptive but notification to any membership present a regulatory requirement.
The lounge doors have recently had some repair work done to them. The fire-exit doors should now all be closing securely, while the lockable deck access door is still requiring some further attention. If you have any difficulty closing the fire-exit doors please get someone who knows how they work to show you how to close them, and please take care with the other door while we finish the repairs. There is also some repair work being done to the flooring in the lounge around the bar area over the next month, disruption will be minor, but your patience while we complete this job is appreciated. Thanks!
We are currently scoping new playing uniforms for women's and men's squash and tennis. Uniform samples have been circulated last weekend at the club. If you have any feedback on design, fabric, or playability requirements please get in touch with Kate via emailing her c/o the office at service@hernebayrackets.co.nz.
Bryan Hoey has replaced Shayne Hubert on the committee, taking care of the facilities role. Bryan will have the help of some other club member volunteers on a subcommittee to help him work through the list of maintenance tasks. If there's anything you notice that needs attention, let Bryan know or contact the office at service@hernebayrackets.co.nz.

Lost Property items are piling up. Please come upstairs and rummage through the drink bottles and hoodies for your or your kid's gear. There are quite a lot of goods and they will be all donated at the end of this month.
We have a new maintenance register. If you notice something that needs fixing, please email the office and it will be added to the register. We will do our best to fix it asap although some non-urgent items will be scheduled for a Working Bee in the near future.
We have a first-aid kit upstairs, instant ice packs, and in the kitchen a freezer of ice with zip lock bags. It's best practice for the club to keep an accidents register to record injury incidents. If someone is injured and may require medical attention please email the office with as many details about the person and injury as possible.
