Club Management Roles

The committee has created two clearly defined roles - a Club Administrator (to administer the database, accounts, bar etc) and a Club Manager Business Development and Programmes (responsible for growing participation, managing programmes and club professionals and managing new initiatives). While these part-time roles are separate it is possible they may both be filled by one person initially. We want the roles to grow and the separation acknowledges the different skill sets of an administrator vs. business development.

Access problem resolved

Some of you may have noticed we had trouble with our security and access control system this week. It was caused by a malfunction in the software & database controlling access. We have sorted the problem and apologise for any inconvenience to those who couldn’t get in.

Unfortunately our system is very old (20yrs +) so is prone to these sort of issues and they’ve become more frequent in recent times. We have scoped a replacement system and hoping to implement that in the new year. Unfortunately our grant application for funding of this was declined earlier in the year, but we are applying again. This is a priority issue as reliable access for our members and club security is a key item to have working well.

If you have any trouble with your access card in the future please contact Steve Livesay by text (0275220302) or email (steve@oxcon.co.nz) with your name and card number and we’ll get it sorted ASAP.
